SC Discipline Guidelines
This outline is to specify punishments for infractions committed within Shadow Company. This shall act as a living breathing document and additions or changes can be added by a majority vote (3 out of the 5) of the SLC.
This new discipline proposal will be based on an 100% warning system. A warning level of 100% equals an automatic Dishonorable Discharge. A warning level of 80% will require COC review for possible Dishonorable Discharge. A warning level of 60% will disallow members for applying for any Squad Staff or COC positions. If a member is a squad staff or COC, a 60% warning level will result in demotion of rank.
If members are Dishonorably Discharge, the member is allowed to return under the Dishonorable Discharge policy. This policy requires that a member upon rejoining SC will receive an automatic 80% warning level. This level and all warning levels will be reduced by 20% per month. It is the responsibility of the offending member to request the warning decrease.
Warnings will be issued as follows:
Members will be assessed warnings by the levels listed. If a member is "in between" warning levels when another warning is assessed, the warning level will be raised to the next level.
EXAMPLE: Member has committed his third language offense. That is a 40% warning level. One month passes and warning level is reduced to 20%. Member then commits his fourth language related offense. Warning level is raised to 60%.
If a member has a warning level for an offense in one category, and then commits an offense in another category, the warning level will be raised by the new offense levels warning.
EXAMPLE:Member has committed his second language offense. That is a 20% warning level. Member then commits his 2nd jumping COC offense that is an additional 20% warning, for a total of 40%.
Cursing/Bypassing Filters: This shall be defined as any word currently blocked by forum filters and or bypassing current filters. Cursing shall not be permitted in the Shout Box, in the Forums, in Private Messages, Practices, or online Play. This also includes acronyms that stand for cursing.
1st Offense: Written Warning to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
2nd Offense: 20% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
3rd Offense: 40% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum. If the 3rd offense occurs in the Shout Box, the offending member will be banned from the Shout Box for a period of three (3) days.
4th Offense: 60% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum. If the 4th offense occurs in the Shout Box, the offending member will be banned from the Shout Box for a period of seven (7) days. This offense shall also be grounds for division COC review for possible discharge from SC.
Any future offenses will require COC review for minimum 80% warning increase and COC review for possible discharge from SC.
Jumping COC: This shall be defined as a member purposefully and knowingly jumping COC with requests, questions, and or any other issues that should have been addressed at the current level of COC.
1st Offense: Written Warning to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
2nd Offense: 20% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
3rd Offense: 40% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
4th Offense: 60% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
Any future offenses will require a minimum 80% warning increase and COC review for possible discharge from SC.
Disrespecting SC Member/ SC COC: This shall be defined as disrespect, defamation, and or slanderous behavior or words against other SC members or SC itself.
1st Offense: Automatic 40% warning increase and required COC review for possible additional warning increase and or Discharge.
2nd Offense: Automatic 60% warning increase and required COC review for possible additional warning increase and or Discharge.
3rd Offense: Automatic 80% warning increase and required COC review for possible additional warning increase and or Discharge.
Any future offense will result in automatic Dishonorable Discharge.
Spamming Shout Box or Forums: This shall be defined as needlessly and continuously posting random gibberish that has no value to Shadow Company. This also includes posting links to inappropriate or vulgar videos, pictures, or websites.
1st Offense: Written warning.
2nd Offense: 20% Warning Increase
3rd Offense: 40% Warning Increase. If this occurs in the Shout Box, there will be a three (3) day Shout Box Ban for the Offender.
4th Offense: 60% Warning Increase. If this occurs in the Shout Box, there will be a seven (7) day Shout Box Ban for the Offender.
Any future offenses will require a minimum 80% warning increase and COC review for possible discharge from SC.
Damaging Positive Image of SC: This shall be defined as any act a member knowingly commits that damages the positive image of SC within the gaming community.
1st Offense: 40% warning increase and automatic account suspension. This suspension will be in effect until SLC review. SLC review can include warning increase and or Dishonorable Discharge.
2nd Offense: 80% warning increase and automatic account suspension. This suspension will be in effect until SLC review. SLC review can include warning increase and or Dishonorable Discharge.
Dereliction of Duty:This shall be defined as any COC or general member that does not follow protocol and does not complete duties as required to fulfill their position. This also includes any COC member representing their positions in the wrong way, or abuse of power.
1st Offense: Written Warning to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
2nd Offense: 20% Warning Increase.
3rd Offense: 40% Warning Increase.
4th Offense:60% warning increase and demotion of position.
Violation of SOP: This is defined as going against Shadow Company Standard Operating Procedure. This includes all other areas not specifically mentioned previously. This includes web team offenses, award team type offenses, etc.
1st Offense: Written Warning to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
2nd Offense: 20% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
3rd Offense: 40% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
4th Offense: 60% Warning increase to Offending member. This is required to be documented in appropriate discipline forum.
Any future offenses will require a minimum 80% warning increase and COC review for possible discharge from SC.
Offenses that require Automatic Discharge from SC – all of the following require SLC discussion and investigation.
Cheating: This shall be defined as any modification to the platform (PS3) or official games and associated files or any utilization of a program that is meant to alter the behavior of the game in a way that either gives an advantage to players using it or gives a disadvantage to players not using it.
Boosting: This shall be defined as any act that increases one's own stats or one's teams stats through dishonest means. No SC member will attempt to increase his/her own stats in a way contrary to the games intended means. No SC member will persue illegitimate ways of increasing his/her GB team stats.
Moonlighting: This shall be defined as a member who joins and participates in another gaming clan in a game that Shadow Company supports.
